AF 40mm F2.5 Air overview

The Viltrox AF 40mm F2.5 Air is a 40mm f/2.5 prime for full-frame cameras on Sony E-mount, Nikon Z and L-Mount, announced by Viltrox in April 2024. 79 cameras we track take it without an adapter.

Going by its spec sheet, it suits travel. It is a weaker pick for rain and dust as well as close-ups.

No store we track in the United Kingdom has it new in stock today; used and refurbished copies start at £79.99.

Worth comparing it with the Sony FE 40mm F2.5 G, Sony Sonnar T* FE 35mm F2.8 ZA and TTArtisan AF 40mm F2.
