Z5IIC overview

The Nikon Z5IIC is a 24.5 MP full-frame mirrorless camera for Nikon Z, announced by Nikon in September 2026.

Going by its spec sheet, it suits vlogging and selfies, video, wildlife and sport, and low light. It is a weaker pick for all-day shooting on one battery, paid jobs that need a backup card and eye-level shooting in bright sun.

New, it sells for £1,349 in the United Kingdom (Harrison Cameras).

Worth comparing it with the Nikon Z5II, Canon EOS R8 Mark II and Sony α7C II.

Low light & noise

5.9 µm pixels

24.5 MP on a full frame sensor, ISO up to 64,000

Bigger pixels gather more light each, so they tend to show less noise at high ISO, but sensor design matters as much. For real noise at ISO 6400, these sites measure it:

How it stacks up

  • 620 g — lighter than 77% of the full frame mirrorless cameras we list
  • 7.5 stops — more stabilisation than 62% of the full frame mirrorless cameras we list
