TL2 overview
The Leica TL2 is a 24.24 MP APS-C mirrorless camera for L-Mount, announced by Leica in July 2017. It is discontinued, so new stock may be limited.
Going by its spec sheet, it suits travel and everyday carry. It is a weaker pick for rain and dust, slow handheld shots with unstabilised lenses, and all-day shooting on one battery.
No store we track in Europe has it new in stock today; used and refurbished copies start at €1,198.
Worth comparing it with the Leica CL, Fujifilm X-E4 and Canon EOS M6 Mark II.

Low light & noise
3.9 µm pixels
24.24 MP on a aps-c sensor, ISO up to 50,000
Bigger pixels gather more light each, so they tend to show less noise at high ISO, but sensor design matters as much. For real noise at ISO 6400, these sites measure it:
- Photons to Photos: dynamic range vs ISO ↗Photographic dynamic range measured at every ISO, bodies on one chart
- Photons to Photos: noise vs ISO ↗Read noise at every ISO from lab tests: lower is cleaner in the shadows
- DPReview studio scene ↗The same scene shot by each camera at the ISO you pick, side by side
- DPReview reviews ↗Full reviews with high-ISO samples
- Low-light video tests ↗Real-world high-ISO footage on YouTube
How it stacks up
- 20 fps — faster bursts than 68% of the aps-c mirrorless cameras we list
- 399 g — lighter than 55% of the aps-c mirrorless cameras we list
