FX5 overview

The Sony FX5 is a 16.6 MP full-frame mirrorless camera for Sony E-mount, announced by Sony in July 2026.

Going by its spec sheet, it suits vlogging and selfies as well as low light. It is a weaker pick for eye-level shooting in bright sun.

Stores we track in the United States list it, but none has it in stock today. It launched at $4,899.99 (body only).

Worth comparing it with the Sony FX3, Canon EOS R6 V and Nikon ZR.
