atx-m 85mm F1.8 FE overview
The Tokina atx-m 85mm F1.8 FE is an 85mm f/1.8 prime for full-frame cameras on Sony E-mount, announced by Tokina in January 2020. 39 cameras we track take it without an adapter. It is discontinued, so new stock may be limited.
Going by its spec sheet, it suits portraits and low light. It is a weaker pick for rain and dust as well as close-ups.
New, it sells for $377.49 in the United States (eBay.com); used and refurbished copies start at $215. It launched at $499.
Worth comparing it with the Sony FE 85mm F1.8, Sirui Aurora 85mm F1.4 and Laowa 90mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro APO.
