PEN overview
The OM System PEN is a 20.4 MP Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera for Micro Four Thirds, announced by OM System in September 2026.
Going by its spec sheet, it suits vlogging and selfies, travel and everyday carry, wildlife and sport, and bad weather. It is a weaker pick for paid jobs that need a backup card and monitoring sound while you film.
No store we track in Singapore lists it today. It is listed in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.
Worth comparing it with the Fujifilm X-E5, Nikon Zfc and OM System OM-5 Mark II.

Low light & noise
3.3 µm pixels
20.4 MP on a micro four thirds sensor, ISO up to 25,600
Bigger pixels gather more light each, so they tend to show less noise at high ISO, but sensor design matters as much. For real noise at ISO 6400, these sites measure it:
- Photons to Photos: dynamic range vs ISO ↗Photographic dynamic range measured at every ISO, bodies on one chart
- Photons to Photos: noise vs ISO ↗Read noise at every ISO from lab tests: lower is cleaner in the shadows
- DPReview studio scene ↗The same scene shot by each camera at the ISO you pick, side by side

- Low-light video tests ↗Real-world high-ISO footage on YouTube
How it stacks up
- 393 g — lighter than 86% of the micro four thirds mirrorless cameras we list
- 410 shots — longer battery life than 74% of the micro four thirds mirrorless cameras we list
- 20.4 MP — more resolution than 66% of the micro four thirds mirrorless cameras we list
- 30 fps — faster bursts than 63% of the micro four thirds mirrorless cameras we list
