The Tamron 17-28mm F/2.8 Di III RXD is a 17–28mm f/2.8 zoom for full-frame cameras on Sony E-mount, announced by Tamron in June 2019. 39 cameras we track take it without an adapter. It has been followed by the Tamron 16-30mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2; both are still sold.

- 17–28mm zoom, f/2.8 constant through the zoom.
- Full frame lens; it also fits the mount's APS-C bodies.
- Autofocus (RXD motor); no optical stabilisation.
- 420 g; 73 × 99 mm; 67mm filters; internal zoom (doesn't extend).
- Focuses down to 0.19 m, up to 0.19× magnification.
- Weather sealed.
- Replaced by the 16-30mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (2025); both are still sold.
- No used body-only listings at the stores we track in Europe today: check eBay and the Used filter.
