Batis 2.8/18 overview

The Zeiss Batis 2.8/18 is an 18mm f/2.8 prime for full-frame cameras on Sony E-mount, announced by Zeiss in April 2016. 39 cameras we track take it without an adapter.

Going by its spec sheet, it suits landscapes and interiors. It is a weaker pick for close-ups.

Stores we track in Singapore list it, but none has it in stock today.

Worth comparing it with the Samyang AF 18mm F2.8 FE, Viltrox AF 20mm F2.8 Air and Zeiss Loxia 2.8/21.
