RF-S 7.8mm F4 STM Dual overview

The Canon RF-S 7.8mm F4 STM Dual is a 7.8mm f/4 prime for APS-C cameras on Canon RF, announced by Canon in October 2024. 7 cameras we track take it without an adapter.

Going by its spec sheet, it suits landscapes and interiors as well as travel. It is a weaker pick for rain and dust, low light without a tripod, and close-ups.

Stores we track in Singapore list it, but none has it in stock today. It launched at S$699.

Worth comparing it with the Laowa 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D.
