GR IV Monochrome overview
The Ricoh GR IV Monochrome is a 25.74 MP APS-C compact camera with a built-in lens, announced by Ricoh in January 2026.
Going by its spec sheet, it suits travel and everyday carry. It is a weaker pick for all-day shooting on one battery, paid jobs that need a backup card and eye-level shooting in bright sun.
Stores we track in Singapore list it, but none has it in stock today.
Worth comparing it with the Ricoh GR IV, Leica Q2 Monochrom and Fujifilm X100VI.

Low light & noise
3.8 µm pixels
25.74 MP on a aps-c sensor, ISO up to 409,600
Bigger pixels gather more light each, so they tend to show less noise at high ISO, but sensor design matters as much. For real noise at ISO 6400, these sites measure it:
- Photons to Photos: dynamic range vs ISO ↗Photographic dynamic range measured at every ISO, bodies on one chart
- Photons to Photos: noise vs ISO ↗Read noise at every ISO from lab tests: lower is cleaner in the shadows
- DPReview studio scene ↗The same scene shot by each camera at the ISO you pick, side by side
- DPReview reviews ↗Full reviews with high-ISO samples
- Low-light video tests ↗Real-world high-ISO footage on YouTube
How it stacks up
- 25.74 MP — more resolution than 83% of the aps-c compact (fixed lens) cameras we list
- 262 g — lighter than 67% of the aps-c compact (fixed lens) cameras we list
