AF 50mm F2.0 Air overview

The Viltrox AF 50mm F2.0 Air is a 50mm f/2 prime for full-frame cameras on Sony E-mount, Nikon Z and L-Mount, announced by Viltrox in April 2025. 79 cameras we track take it without an adapter.

Going by its spec sheet, it suits travel. It is a weaker pick for close-ups.

New, it sells for $179 to $199 at the 2 stores we track in the United States that have it in stock; used and refurbished copies start at $229.10. It launched at $199.

Worth comparing it with the Leica APO-Summicron-SL 50 f/2 ASPH., Leica Summicron-SL 50 f/2 ASPH. and TTArtisan AF 40mm F2.
