Mavic 3 Pro overview

The DJI Mavic 3 Pro is a 20 MP Four Thirds camera drone with a built-in lens, announced by DJI in April 2023. It has been followed by the DJI Mavic 4 Pro; both are still sold.

Going by its spec sheet, it suits flying near trees and buildings, long flights, colour grading, and dusk and sunrise. It is a weaker pick for flying without registering.

Stores we track in the United States list it, but none has it in stock today. It launched at $2,199.

Things to know

  • 20 MP Four Thirds CMOS camera.
  • Video up to 5.1K (4K up to 120p), 10-bit.
  • Up to 43 minutes a battery; 15 km video range (FCC, the maker's figure); omnidirectional obstacle sensing.
  • 958 g take-off weight: 250 g or more, a weight at which many countries ask you to register (check yours).
  • Replaced by the Mavic 4 Pro (2025); both are still sold.
  • No used body-only listings at the stores we track in United States today: check eBay and the Used filter.

Good for

  • Flying near trees and buildings (omnidirectional obstacle sensing)
  • Long flights (up to 43 min a battery)
  • Colour grading (10-bit video)
