The DJI Air 3 is a 48 MP 1/1.3-inch camera drone with a built-in lens, announced by DJI in July 2023. It has been followed by the DJI Air 3S; both are still sold.
Going by its spec sheet, it suits flying near trees and buildings, long flights, and colour grading. It is a weaker pick for flying without registering.
New, it sells for A$1,359.20 in Australia (Camera House); used and refurbished copies start at A$899.90.

Things to know
- 48 MP 1/1.3" CMOS camera.
- Video up to 4K (4K up to 100p), 10-bit.
- Up to 46 minutes a battery; 20 km video range (FCC, the maker's figure); omnidirectional obstacle sensing.
- 720 g take-off weight: 250 g or more, a weight at which many countries ask you to register (check yours).
- Replaced by the Air 3S (2024); both are still sold.
- Used from A$899.90 today in Australia, at the stores we track.
