X6 overview
The Insta360 X6 is a 120 MP 1/1.1-inch 360° camera with a built-in lens, announced by Insta360 in August 2026.
Going by its spec sheet, it suits travel and everyday carry, video, landscape and detail, and bad weather. It is a weaker pick for paid jobs that need a backup card and eye-level shooting in bright sun.
New, it sells for $699.99 to $799.99 at the 4 stores we track in the United States that have it in stock. It launched at $699.99.
Worth comparing it with the DJI Osmo 360 II, GoPro MAX2 and Insta360 X5.

Low light & noise
0.9 µm pixels
120 MP on a 1/1.1" sensor
Bigger pixels gather more light each, so they tend to show less noise at high ISO, but sensor design matters as much. For real noise at ISO 6400, these sites measure it:
- Photons to Photos: dynamic range vs ISO ↗Photographic dynamic range measured at every ISO, bodies on one chart
