25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X Ultra Macro overview

The Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X Ultra Macro is a 25mm f/2.8 prime for full-frame cameras on Canon EF / EF-S, Canon RF, Nikon F, Nikon Z, Sony E-mount, Pentax K and L-Mount, announced by Laowa in March 2018. 150 cameras we track take it without an adapter.

Going by its spec sheet, it suits macro. It is a weaker pick for rain and dust as well as fast-moving subjects.

New, it sells for A$689.70 to A$805 at the 3 stores we track in Australia that have it in stock.

Worth comparing it with the Zeiss Loxia 2.4/25, Sigma 24mm F3.5 DG DN | Contemporary and Canon RF 24mm F1.8 Macro IS STM.
